What learners get wrong

Reports an instruction: 의사 선생님이 푹 쉬라고 하셨어요. -라고 after a vowel, -으라고 after a consonant. The negative is -지 말라고 하다. Watch the trap with 주다: 나한테 주라고 vs 남한테 달라고 - Korean distinguishes who the giving is for.
