When you'd hear it
This is 하오체, an old-fashioned formal speech style found in historical dramas, period writing, and deliberately archaic or playful speech. It may also appear in older men’s speech, but it is not a normal choice in contemporary everyday conversation.
What learners get wrong
Although it introduces something newly noticed like -군요, -(는)구려 sounds distinctly old-fashioned and formal. Use -군요 in ordinary polite conversation; reserve -(는)구려 for historical, literary, or intentionally archaic contexts.

What learners get wrong
Unlike modern polite -(으)세요, -(는)구려/(는)구료 can sound theatrical or historical even when the command is gentle. The endings may be translated as “let’s” or “why don’t you,” but they still mark 하오체 rather than ordinary contemporary politeness.
